We’re excited to unveil the new church website for St Saviour’s Cathedral in Goulburn — a project that brought together heritage, community, and modern design.
The Cathedral’s previous website had served its purpose, but it was beginning to show its age. It was difficult for the team to update, the layout was clunky, and overall, it didn’t reflect the beauty and vibrancy of the Cathedral itself or the welcoming spirit of its community. That’s where we came in.
The Brief
Creating an Engaging Church Website
Our focus was to design a church website that not only meets the needs of the congregation but also engages newcomers, providing them with easy access to information and fostering a sense of community.
The team at St Saviour’s came to us with a clear goal: they wanted a fresh, clean, and easy-to-navigate website that would feel more inviting to both regular parishioners and new visitors. Importantly, they needed to be able to manage the content themselves — sharing news, services, events, and updates without technical hurdles.
Our Approach
We worked closely with the Cathedral team to create a website that was not only beautiful but functional and community-focused.
Here’s what we delivered:
A modern, clean design
We used a generous amount of white space to give the site an open, calm feel. The Cathedral itself is a striking and ornate piece of architecture, so we made sure to let that shine with high-quality imagery throughout.
An intuitive menu structure
We restructured the navigation to break information into clear, easily accessible sections. Whether visitors are looking for service times, upcoming events, or contact details, everything is now just a click away.
Community-focused visuals
To make the site feel welcoming and connected, we incorporated images of parish life — showcasing the people who make the Cathedral such a special place.
Custom forms
We included tailored forms to streamline communication for everything from general enquiries to event bookings.
An easy-to-use backend
One of the biggest transformations was behind the scenes — we developed a user-friendly admin system that allows the team to update pages, add news posts, and manage events with ease. With just a little training, they’ve been able to take full ownership of their site.
The Result
The response has been overwhelmingly positive. Parishioners and the broader Goulburn community have embraced the new site, and it’s now a key source of information for everything happening at the Cathedral.
The Cathedral team is thrilled — not only with how the site looks, but how easy it is to keep it up to date. It’s now more than just a website — it’s a digital extension of the church itself: open, welcoming, and active in the life of the community. Check out the new St Saviour’s Cathedral website here.
